The next LA School will have the participation of Rede CpE members and speakers from our  I International Symposium on Science for Education

Aplications to the 6th Latin American School for Education, Cognitive and Neural Sciences (LASchool) are open until Setember 6th. The LA school is is a meeting that gather Students and Faculties from all over the world in Latin America to build new bridges between Education, Cognitive and Neural Sciences. Each year, LASchool’s participants work together for two weeks critically examining ideas and findings that are potentially relevant to both the Educational and Scientific communities.

The next edition of the meeting will be organized by the Neuroscience Laboratory of the Torcuato Di Tella University and will take place in Argentina.  Since 2011, LASchools took place in Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay. All these experiences have brought together more than 150 researchers and 250 students in a continuing effort to promote the scientific work at the interface between Education and Science.

The goal of the LASchool is to critically examine research findings that are potentially relevant to the development, design, and implementation of effective educational practices and to train a new generation of researchers, able to operate at the interface between Education and Science.

Next year the meeting will have the presence of neuroscientist and CpE member Sidarta Ribeiro (UFRN), besides other researchers who spoke at the I International Symposium on Science for Education, like Marcela Peña (Universidad Catolica de Chile), Alejandro Maiche (Universidad de la República, Uruguai) and Sebastián Lipina (Applied Neurobiology, Argentina).

Applicants should be graduate students, postdoctoral fellows or young independent researchers. The LASchool will cover travel, board and lodging expenses for the selected candidates.
